Conversational Approach Training – Navigating Sticky Conversations
About the Event
When it comes to an issue you’re passionate about it can be hard to not get caught in a debate when you don’t see eye-to-eye with others. It can leave us wondering how do we stay true to our values while building connections so we can work together to meet community goals? Through facilitated discussion and hands-on practice, we will learn about the fundamentals of how humans process information and change, ways to improve listening and empathy skills, elements of productive and healthy conversations, and how to find common ground. The conversational approach is based in psychology and guided by compassion and empathy.
