Your AFP Chapter: Ever Better – Now Bigger!
AFPSEWI Posts Award-Winning Membership Numbers
Milwaukee-area fundraisers increasingly find value in AFP membership – and now there’s hard proof.
Over the last three years, the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter grew faster than any other of its peer chapters worldwide, posting a 11.86% membership growth. That growth rate was tops among AFP’s 19 Group IV chapters (251-400 members).
The chapter’s achievement was recognized at the AFP International Conference in New Orleans on April 14. The award was accepted by Jim Moore, the chapter’s President-Elect and Senior Development Director at UPAF.
“Chapter growth is a key indicator of the value we’re providing to members, so this award is a very gratifying affirmation of our chapter’s strength,” said Jim. “Of course, we know people love our educational offerings, but networking is another prime benefit – and membership growth means more networking potential for every member.”
AFPSEWI qualified for this award by earning AFP “Ten Star Chapter” recognition. The Ten Star program recognizes chapters that area performing well across a variety of measures.
Group IV chapters comprise AFP’s second membership tier based on size. Group V chapters have more than 400 members.
**Okay, this is NOT Jim Moore accepting the award from International...but this is what it felt like!
