Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Advancement Data and Analytics plays a pivotal role in enhancing Institutional Advancement’s data infrastructure and Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) software. With supervision and direction from the director of advancement services and operations, this position is responsible for establishing, developing, and managing the donor database, business rules, systems, standards, and procedures that support Institutional Advancement's mission.
The assistant director oversees workflow management and ensures data quality for the Advancement Services team, maintaining accurate and strategically utilizes advancement data. This role focuses on developing, documenting, and refining business processes, with an emphasis on leveraging data and technology to achieve departmental and institutional goals.
As a subject matter expert, the assistant director supports the advancement team by directly preparing data requests, reporting, and analyzing initiatives with significant time and attention focusing on our annual giving, major and planned giving strategies, and constituency engagement.
This role is critical to the success of our work and current campaign, ensuring segmentation and quality control for all efforts. The assistant director will generate reports to evaluate the performance of various fundraising channels, provide insights on unit-specific results, and investigate data-driven questions to guide informed decision-making.
Additionally, the assistant director serves as a consultant to the advancement team, offering guidance on accessing and utilizing data for list creation and reporting. This individual will have a deep understanding of the data and its alignment with strategic priorities.
