Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 Per Year
Job Summary:
The Individual Giving Advisor is responsible for forming and developing relationships with a portfolio of up to 200 individual donors, as well as a limited number of foundations, with an annual giving capacity of $1,000-$25,000. This team member is critical to the success of Acts Housing’s fundraising strategy and works closely with the VP of Philanthropy to develop and achieve financial, donor retention, and portfolio growth goals annually.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an understanding of Acts Housing’s mission, vision, and priorities; communicate effectively with a diverse population of donors and prospects to inspire consistent and increasing gifts
- Develop and maintain a multi-year cultivation strategy for donors in the portfolio; report on progress, challenges, and opportunities regularly; prioritize based on organizational strategy and goals in collaboration with the VP of Philanthropy
- Monitor daily donation report to provide timely acknowledgment and stewardship of donors, as well as identify portfolio prospects
- Optimize relationships with Acts Housing volunteers and supporters to create opportunities to meet new prospects
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to develop and execute effective engagement opportunities for donors, including home tours, hosted events, roundtables, etc.
- Consistently enter information into the CRM database to maintain data integrity and donor information
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree within a relevant discipline is strongly desired. Individuals who have a high school diploma/GED and relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
- Five (5) years’ experience in fundraising or sales roles and a demonstrated ability to create and cultivate relationships with a variety of prospects
- Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, ethics, and practices
- Database/CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as workload requires, is necessary
