A Message to our Members: Empower. Strengthen. Transform.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in this year’s National Philanthropy Day. From the many of you who nominated donors, volunteers and fundraising professionals for this year’s awards and those who participated in recognizing Partners in Philanthropy but especially to all of you who attended and the volunteers who made the event possible. And of course, to our administrator Erin Richardson and co-chairs Dawn Hutchinson-Weiss and Elizabeth O’Hara who worked diligently to create a successful and inspiring event.

By serving fundraisers, AFP also serves our community. Because every fundraiser shares one mission: as we secure the resources that allow area nonprofits to do good, we also help generous community members act on hopes for a better world. National Philanthropy Day is the special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the impact of philanthropy in the world around us. The mission that is our daily privilege.

As we are all in year-end mode for our organizations, so is AFP. I would like to ask that you all consider making a donation BEtheCAUSE campaign. Since this is the time of year where we give thanks for many things in our lives, I want to thank you for being a member. We have a great chapter here in southeastern Wisconsin and I am honored to serve as your president. I want to also thank those who serve on our Board of Directors and the Committees Volunteers. Thank you all for your service to our Chapter, to our Community and to creating a better world for all.
