The Emerging Professionals Group meets the SECOND Friday of every month from 8:00 – 9:00 am

What is the AFP SEWI Emerging Professionals Group? The Emerging Professionals Group is a collective of emerging fundraisers who share ideas on a myriad of development topics. We talk informally about all things fundraising: Prospecting, Stewardship, Annual Appeals, Galas, Board Relations, you name it! Join us for coffee and conversation on the second Friday of each month. RSVP required-Space is limited to 20 professionals.

This month we have Heidi Jeter, the Director of Advancement Communications at Alverno College coming as our resident expert as we discuss Annual Appeals.

Heidi Jeter is an award-winning communications professional with nearly 25 years of experience in communications strategy, content development, brand management, and fundraising. She is currently the director of advancement communications at Alverno College where she develops and implements engagement, fundraising, and stewardship strategies for targeting alumni, donors, and prospective donors.

  • History and overview the annual appeal process at Alverno – one version of growth
  • Donor cultivation and renewal – where to start; how to expand
